How the Comet Booster Club helps the student athletes at CHS
- Pays for up to half of new uniforms for various teams (uniforms are purchased on a rotating basis determined by the coaches and athletic director)
- Funds provided to Athletic Programs
- Purchases commemorative t-shirts for teams that win Regional and County Championships
- Supplements the overrun costs for buses to transport students to games and matches
- Purchases Varsity letters and pins
- Funds the awards for MVP and Unsung Hero for each JV and Varsity team
- Awards scholarships (1 male, 1 female) to graduating senior athletes
The Booster Club has also funded the following at Comet Park
- Contributed $10,000 towards the new scoreboard at Comet Park (pic)
- Contributed towards the new flagpole court and flags (pic)
- Purchased two new ticket booths (pic)
- Purchased baseball and softball scoreboards
- Secured funding for brand new concession stand with restroom facilities (news article)
- Contributed funds for new wrestling room mats
- Contributed towards new dugouts for softball field
